The Butterfly Project: Artists Fighting Lupus

A butterfly-shaped rash across the face is a distinctive feature of lupus. In addition to our twelve design teams, ten Northwest artists will take plain, white butterflies, and transform them into truly unique works of art. Several of the artists have family members and friends with lupus—some of whom are no longer with us. The artists’ designs are beautiful, and collectively represent hundreds of hours of donated effort, all to help us raise lupus awareness.

These artistic symbols of lupus awareness will be on display throughout Portland, and during the Serving Up Style event. They will be auctioned off during the Serving Up Style gala, to benefit the Molly's Fund lupus education efforts.

We would like to thank the artists who have created butterfly designs as part of Artists Fighting Lupus 2011. Please visit their websites to learn more about this very talented and compassionate group!
